About Hummy’s World

I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.

Jorge Luis Borges

I decided to start my first book blog when a lot my friends began asking me for book suggestions quite frequently. I reviewed every book I read and each book was written about some sort of self-improvement topic. I read everything ranging from personal finance to relationship building. That’s how Hummy’s World started.  After about 8 months of strictly writing book reviews, I realized I could serve my readers so much more by sharing more than just the books I’m reading. I decided to make the transition from just self-improvement book reviews to an overall self-improvement blog. I still share my book reviews, but now I, and other writers, share different tips and tricks on how to become a better you. My goal is to provide as much quality information as possible to help everyone who comes across my blog start improving their lives however they can.

“I believe in the magic of books. I believe that during certain periods in our lives we are drawn to particular books–whether it’s strolling down the aisles of a bookshop with no idea whatsoever of what it is that we want to read and suddenly finding the most perfect, most wonderfully suitable book staring us right in the face. Unblinking. Or a chance meeting with a stranger or friend who recommends a book we would never ordinarily reach for. Books have the ability to find their own way into our lives.”
Cecelia Ahern
